At Uneek Learning our aim is to be preventative, not reactive. We wish to support schools in exploring other avenues of support before exclusion. The students and their success and inclusion in mainstream education, is paramount to all that we do.
We aim to provide educational provision for students who might not, for whatever reason, be accessing learning elsewhere. They might be young people who have Special Educational Needs, who are vulnerable for any number of reasons, who are anxious or who are trying to manage mental health or personal issues.
Many of the young people we work with have, so far, had a negative educational experience and their trust in the system needs to be rebuilt before learning can restart. This takes time and patience. To this end, our Education Mentors work hard to create good relationships between themselves and the students to eliminate the natural anxiety that comes with re-entering education or a change of placement.
