PSHE

Short Course

Our students love this course because its full of modules that young people are genuinely interested in. The PSHE curriculum is accessed by all of our KS3 / KS4 learners as it encompasses an aspect of nurture, which many of our students need.

Course Introduction

The PSHE Short Course has been updated to help centres meet the requirements of the new statutory guidance for sex, relationships and health education in England, which comes into effect in September 2020.

The flexibility of ASDAN’s Short Courses means they can be undertaken in a variety of settings, over a time period to suit the individual or co-ordinating centre. Challenge descriptions can be interpreted and adapted to meet the learners’ needs.

This Short Course can be completed using the student book or is available for learners to complete online through the ASDAN e-portfolio system. Learners log in to complete challenges, record skills development and upload evidence. Tutors can view learner progress and sign off work, leaving feedback as needed.

Who is this course for?

Young people of all abilities, mainly aged between 13 and 19.

Because Short Courses are multi-level, the focus is on completing challenges and skills development according to individual ability, rather than attainment at a specific level.
